Board of Director Position
Colorado Supermoto is committed to promoting the supermoto sport providing a safe and competitive racing program, creating a positive experience for riders and spectators, and increasing exposure for our sponsors and preferred vendors. Colorado Supermoto will continue to be an encouraging environment for supermoto racers, and their supporters, competing locally or graduating to a national level.
The Board will support the work of Colorado Supermoto and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance. While day-to-day operations are led by Colorado Supermoto’s chief executive officer (CEO), the Board-CEO relationship is a partnership, and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected. Specific Board Member responsibilities include:
Manage and perform tech inspections with every motorcycle and racer entered to race to ensure compliance with the Colorado Supermoto Rule Book. Including bike prep and rider racing gear.
Provide rider support and advice relating the proper prep and safety gear required for racing.
Monitors and manages corner workers, track safety, racers, looking for leaking fluids and any unsafe or inappropriate racing behavior.
Provides track conditions at each riders meeting.
Assists and/or manage track set-up and prep including but not limited to signs, cones, hay bales, flags, and race configuration. Working with the venue resources to ensure dirt track is prepped and asphalt swept prior to race day.
Assisting in the design or construction of new or existing track layouts.
Colorado Supermoto Board Members will serve a one-year term to be eligible for re-appointment for one or more additional terms. Members must be available to attend every race. Board meetings will be held quarterly and committee meetings (if needed) will be held in coordination with full board meetings or if otherwise arranged.

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
Full comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Colorado Supermoto Rule Book.
Excellent verbal communication and management skills.
Knowledge of the supermoto sport relating to race structure, gear and bike preparation requirements.
Experience in evaluating race track conditions required for a safe racing experience.
Experience and knowledge in track layouts, design and construction.
Physically able to lift and move objects related to track set up and prep.
Service on Colorado Supermoto’s Board of Directors as Track & Tech Manager is compensated as follows:
$50 paid per race
Free race entry per race
Compensation for travel, and accommodation costs in relation to Board Members’ duties (upon approval).
